Event #2: Plastic Bottle Planters!

Here's the recap of Ecosysteens' recent event at Arbor Hills Nature Preserve Pavilions in Denton County, TX. Four dedicated teen volunteers and two officers collaborated to emphasize our mission of making a positive impact on the environment by finding innovative solutions, creatively repurposing plastic water bottles into self-watering planters, promoting recycling and reducing waste. The event occurred on January 18, 2023, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. and resulted in a significant achievement. We constructed 50 planters for the volunteers to keep, and we are elated with the outcome and the positive contribution we made to the environment. The bottles were collected from the trashcans of Denton Creek Elementary School every Sunday. We appreciate the community's support and enthusiasm, and we encourage everyone to check out our informational presentation on this link, which showcases the importance of recycling and repurposing to create a more sustainable future. Thank you for being a part of our journey, and we eagerly look forward to more exciting initiatives in the future. Together, we can make a difference for a greener community. It's our Earth, and it's our future!
